After a successful first season in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, professional racing driver Christophe Bouchut confirmed his presence for DF1 NASCAR Racing in the increasingly popular European NASCAR championship in 2015 in the ELITE 1 Division. “The NASCAR Whelen Euro Series is a strong championship,” says Bouchut, “I am very pleased to be part of a renowned team like DF1 NASCAR Racing. I am very motivated and looking forward to the season kick-off on April 25 in Valencia.” The 2014 LOTUS Manufactory Driver has earned more than 100 victories so far, with highlights such as four overall wins in 24-hours races including Le Mans.
In ELITE 2 Slovakian Christian Malchárek will make his debut in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series. The GT and Formula-Series experienced young driver will fight for the Rookie title this season. “This is a great opportunity for me. My father was the first and only Slovak to drive in Formula 1 as a test driver for Minardi and now I am the first Slovakian in NASCAR. I hope for good results soon.“
Engines will start roaring in Valencia (Spain) on April 25-26 for the first NASCAR Whelen Euro Series weekend in 2015. The season will span 24 races in two divisions over six weekends on the most interesting and storied Oval and Road course circuits in Europe.
